On time

I have always been someone who thought they were on time and when I look back at it the stress it caused to me and who ever was traveling with me it was pretty intense . Since I started Tools something has changed. An example of this happened the other day my daughter had a Doc appointment for her broken arm that she broke at a Rodeo the problem was both my wife and me and my other daughter all had to work. We figured out a plan and she came to work with us which was at a mall. As the time came to leave her and I took the wrong door out to where the truck was parked so we had to walk around the mall. As we were walking a old fellow sitting in a car asked  if I knew anything about new cars  I was kind of annoyed because of the interruption and was going to ignore him , but I stopped and asked him why. He said he could not get it to start meanwhile he is talking on a cell phone to I think is his dealership and he is looking frazzled . All I did was look inside and noticed that it was not in park, ask him to put it in park and wa-la it started . After he thank me we were on are way again my kid said we should of taken the other door and out of the blue without even thinking about it I said if" we had taken the other door we would not have been able to help the old fellow out " Bingo what a perfect moment I look over at her she has a smile on her face like her old man has got the wisdom of the ages which felt pretty good and the best part I think she learned a life lesson about helping others. I think in the past if the same thing were to of happen I would be stressed because we went out the wrong door muttering cuss words under my breath and probably would of ignored the old guy or worse, thus losing the perfect moment . But thanks to the new way of looking at beening on time it all worked out.
