Is this funny?(Don't expect it to be LOL)

So it would easy to complain about expectation so here is some insight into other peoples expectations and how they have contributed to my own... OK tale is speculative in nature and personalized for non-sensical purposes

I am confused in which direction to take with my life and I credit my parents who would give me quite the advice

Mom would say " The sky is the limit !"

Then dad would share things like " Son, you should be an astronaut, shoot for the moon!"

Dad would tell me " Keep your nose clean and your socks pulled up "

Mom then would tell me " Don't pick your nose or wear socks with sandals "

On a more serious note---- report card comments which I read... pygmalion effect in action -- I am responsible for making them true for most of my life...

Fails to complete assignments well or on time, lack of  attendance is affecting my marks, not fully achieving my potential, and other variations of said comments.

Realize that your expectations are influenced by what you choose to accept as the truth about you and what you believe about yourself and say to yourself as a result. Be vigilant in what you are accepting as it may be far off the mark.

For example also people that accept a terminal diagnosis from a doctor tend to fall within the timelines and general outlook of of the diagnosis. Some however refuse to accept it and make a remarkable comback defying conventional medical wisdom ( sometimes an oxymoron ).

So what am I accepting and expecting as a result? What have I said to others that may falsify their belief in themselves and ultimately their expectations as well, even though it is ultimately themselves that decide we do excude influence on others that give weight to our communications with them. These are two great questions to ask with the intention of making things better.

So keep doing the work and you can have it! Choose the action and listen to that inner voice and it will get stronger and so will YOU!

Loving and living this moment

                    NAMASTE

Take everything with a grain of salt

For someone who got "poor marks" or whatever, you have the most intense vocabulary.  lol

I had to look up pygmalion!  Sheesh, give a girl a break will you?!  Tongue out

I don't think you can really make someone falsely believe in themselves.  I think it's how that person who is getting fed that advice takes it.  You know?  Like, my mom can tell me that I'll make a great musician, but I have to want to be a musician because I want to be, not because I want my mom to keep giving me attention.  Otherwise I'll end up hating music or the instrument I play because I'm not getting what I want out of it.

What do you want, and why?  What reasons?  Do you want this thing for yourself? And if you do, then the only thing stopping you is you.

I think we have a lot in common, where we are always wondering how we affect everyone else..which don't get me wrong, isn't always bad, I mean, it's good to be aware, but it can start to drown you & take you away from focusing on yourself.  There is a fine balance, & truthfully I think we need to focus on ourselves more in order to be of any use to other people.  It's like when the flight attendants are going over the safety instructions & they show you the breathing mask, they always tell you, "before you try & save anyone else, save yourself first," bc your of no use if you can't breath, right?  How the hell are you supposed to help out anyone else if you're dying too. lol

I hope I make sense.  Sometimes I think I just say things & nothing really comes out lol.

Anyways, you're awesome.  Until your next blog, keep being awesome.

Much love,
