Funny that I hit this topic on a day where I consumed a Quesadilla Explosion salad at Chili's for lunch.
It's one of my favorite restaurant foods, so it is easy to eat most of it. What surprised me though, was when I entered the meal into my calorie counting app on my phone, it registered as 945 calories and I only ate 3/4 of it.
What I realized is that even if something looks like it might be healthy, it might not really be. When I look at that salad I see the beans, corn, lettuce and don't see the salad dressing, tortilla chips and quesadilla that add not as much nutrition to the salad.
I'm a vegetarian. So, while I don't each meat, even being a vegetarian can mean unhealthy eating too. ...hmmm
