Day 12

Day 12. And it only took 3 days for me to get here from day 11… I could make excuses, and I could try to justify it (seriously, I have some great excuses) but the truth is, I was tired and chose to not do TOOLS. In fact, even tonight, I had to force myself to go through today’s lesson. Which leads me to here:

So now I’m not allowed to make excuses AND I’m not allowed to make any complaints. Looks like this self-improvement stuff really does involve personal accountability and responsibility. Good. Because, and let’s be honest here, in the end, we all try to justify our faults by lying to ourselves. By no means do we actually believe what we say. Sure we can accept it as truth (at least to some extent), but in the end, we all know we’re lying. I’m kind of a fan of not lying to myself anymore. It’s not like I ever truly believed it anyway.

Love It!

I rarely get involved with what members blog. I love reading as often as I can what people are saying, but hold off on commenting no mater I agree or do not. Tools is about community and about the community supporting and debating points of view without feeling judged or living up to a "coaches" point of view. That being said, I really enjoyed both your honesty of not being interested and then accepting your own lack of tolerance for staying the course. You made me laugh, smile and node to my own patterns of giving myself permission to do what I know I should not. Very cool stuff, lots more to come.

Cheers and happy holidays...

Pure Gold! Love It!

I was feeling the same way Jerry lol!  I had not logged into tools for three days as well.  I made every excuse in the book on why I didn't log in those days.  But in the end we all have to be accountable for our actions.  It feels better to be accountable than to try to believe in the excuses I half heartedly dreamed up anyway.  Thanks for your Jerry.  I really needed it lol!
