itll go away

i quit smoking over a year now and now am quitting painkillers.. i know the urge and the anxiety, but if ya work through it.. itll go away.  if that doesnt work make sure you use alot of mouthwash.. dont want em to get infected

Good timing

Sounds like a great time to finally quit smoking! I did it a few years back, and every-time I look at the prices in the stores, I think what a good choice I made, not only financially, but health wise as well. Not to mention my car doesn't smell like an ashtray anymore, and I can run farther! Hope you use this opportunity to better your life, and feel better soon!

What ever you do

DONT SMOKE!!!!!  I had to get all 4 of mine surgically removed, still in the jaw bone.  Left behind some pretty good holes and very painfull recovery.  Day 2 had a few smokes, such a huge mistake.  Got dry socket and the pain was way worse that I thought it could ever be and it took much longer to heal.  I have had many very bad injuries and the wounds I had after dry socket was the worst pain I have ever experienced.  My advice DONT SMOKE for any reason.  Best wishes

I was thinking the same thing...

I don't know what it's like to try and quit smoking as I've tried a lot of stuff but never been addicted to anything. I hear it is really tough, but this might just be the time to try and quit for good. I don't know why this idea just popped into my head, but I just thought "flavored ice chips." You could maybe make your own (juice with water in ice cube trays or something) and not only could it help your tooth pain, but it would give you something to do with your hand and mouth when you are craving a cigarette. I dunno...  the thought popped up so I went with it. lol

just wish i could right now

Yeah i had to have mine done surgically too and I know about the dry socket, DONT WANT THAT!

And thanks Cheetah, thats a good idea i will have to try it!

This is a good time to quit i just hope i can!

Thanks averyone!!!!

Awsome!

I believe you can do it Jewellzz!
