says: I am taking a beginning IT class right now - I love it - but man i gotta say it causes as many problems as it solves! The more you learn, the braver you get . . . every once in a while in a misguided attempt at fearless exploration I will put myself in a position that baffles me. I am very poor and I have a couple of IT friends that I can call upon for advice, so I usually stagger through, but I am regularly wanting to either reformat or throw the whole damn thing through the window . . . (of course this is only in between bowing in reverence and adoration to my techno-universe-box)
says: For me, when that happens it's because I'm trying to do something that it's too old to handle so I figure I'm better off buying a new Mac. I have a fairly strong computer background but I'm not an IT guru so I could benefit from calling an expert from time to time but for me, I'm just too tight to pay someone unless I just cant find the answer in a forum somewhere and its a very serious problem. Over the years I've learned not to expect everything to work all the time so most problems really don't bother me. I've been using Mac exclusively for the past 8 years and my computer problems are few and far between and so far I've been able to solve them myself using the Internet.
