I wish he knew.

You have read several times about my in-laws and how special they are to me. They know I love them very much and appreciate them.

My father-in-law which I will call dad is from a family that didn't show much emotion. He is a smart and lovable man but when you need to hear the truth you are going to hear it. Sort of none of this (I don't know how to spell it,) coddeling. Where they tell you what you want to hear but what the truth is. Some find that hard to take but in life that is how it is. You can't just stop living because something goes wrong. So what choice do you have you keep going and do the best you can.

But any way to get back to what I was saying. Prior to my husband having to be out of town I didn't get to spend much time with dad except family gatherings. Now it is a different story. It is a blessing that came out of my husband having to be out of town.

I have gotten to know dad so much better and in such a different light. I feel much close to him.

When he comes over for me to type something or to take me to the doctor or to just talk I enjoy it so much. There is a connection there. I just wish I knew he understood how important he is to me. That the time he shares with me is very valuable and precious.

Matter of fact he is the one that got me turned on to tools. He is way ahead of me but we discuss the topics and learn so much from tools.

My father-in-law, My dad, My friend Marvin has had a rough life in so many ways.Yet is such a blessing to me with wit, kindness, and taking me in as his daughter when my own parents passed.

I hope some day he will know to what depths he has touched my life and all that he means to me.
