Bridge Building

If you read my blog today then you know about the sunday school class I taught today. Only 1 of those in the picture I upload is acutually in the class.

There was such a bridge built today though between him and I when a wall was let down by him.

We were talking about the lesson and I gave him his journal and I explained that I have mine and we can write anything we want in them. It could be about what we feel or something that happens or what ever and he can share it with me or not it is up to him.

He volunteered to read the scripture and when done he said it was like he could feel a hand on his shoulder as he was reading. I explained the more he reads the word of God and prays the closer he will get to God.

He seemed to really open up during the class and I found out some of what he has been putting up with. He asked for my phone number and I wrote it in the journal and he programed it in his phone.

We talked about private issues he brought up and feelings. Then when it came time to dismiss and pray he came and hugged me as we prayed.

This may sound normal to most but this is a child that no one wanted to be around because of his behavior. God worked a miracle this morning by helping me to listen and letting him talk as he felt free to.

Thank you Jesus for using me to reach out to such a sweat misunderstood person.
