Renovating my Soul

Well it's been a whirlwind week for me. (soundtrack Johnny Cash - 25 minutes to go) I took some time off work, to bury myself in some home renos.  I started last wed pulled up the swatch of carpet and finished the last plank of hardwood thursday night at about 10pm.  It gave me a tonne of time to think and work, what I was accomplishing, and achieving.  Through tools I have worked on myself and compared myself to a house with renos, I have been a complete structure for several years, my carpet was torn and dirty I needed a fresh coat of paint (soundtrack Black Crowes - Remedy) and some new tile in my bathroom.

Tools is like renovation for the soul when I stood back and looked at all the work that needed to be done, I was like, Damn, I'll never get through it.  Day by day one task at a time I'm working on my paint and flooring, I'm definitly installing some value added features to my being.  I love who I am evolving into, a more complete centered person, knocked down some walls and opened up some space for living, looking through windows and answering the door when opportunity is knocking.  Do I still drag my ass some days, sure, but I try very hard to snap out of it.  I am more and more aware of how I am projecting, I'm not posturing, I think about answers, after I have heard the question (soundtrack Led Zeppelin - What is and what shall never be) I enjoy as much as I can, rather than dread whats coming up.  It's a whole new look and idea.  Don't be stuck! Just be!

Thanks for all the support and good luck to all of you

Kickin ass and takin names

Yes You Are Kickin Ass and Taking Names

Nice -- I love the analogy!  The renos and yourself.  Same concept different place.  It sounds like you're doing an excelllent job on the inside as well as your surroundings!!  You Totally Rock!!

I'm looking forward to my first hockey playoff season and knowing you will be there to explain the nuances makes it all the better!!  Thanks for being there!  Cool

QUALITY OVER QUANITY

Its not about how fast we get there its about how we get there .

Theres also no sense in moving into a new house when you can just take a little time to make yours better , good on ya !!!
