says: thank you for the help. i will try these for sure

says: Well, I have only been to Yoga once, and as a beginner I chose to try Bikram yoga. This is yoga in a sauna basically.  I have not read too much into the background of this type of yoga, but it sounded like I would enjoy it.  Firstly- not really a beginner class- but seeing the others who have been practicing for years made me want to push myself.  What I found really great was not only did I feel so clean, (you sweat a lot)  my posture was the best its been for a week following. I want to go bad so badly-  it's a little expensive though. I think I will try hot yoga... which is a spin off off Bikram.    Anyway- yes- definitely try it-  it was great,   and I was skeptical.

I have been meditating and using Yoga for over ten years and I love it.

If you are totally new to meditating then it would be a good idea to go "shopping".  Try out different methods to see which one suits you best.

Here are a couple to help start the journey;

Wearing loose comfortable clothing, sit on the ground with your legs out in front of you, maybe place a cushion under your knees if you have any problems with your back, and use a wall to support your spine.

Close your eyes and concentrate on relaxing each part of your legs beginning at your hips and ending by relaxing your feet.

Turn your attention inwards and notice your breath.  Concentrating on relaxing your body as you breathe out.  Try this for five minutes.

Another easy meditation is with your eyes open.  Again sitting comfortably, with a lit candle a few metres in front of you.  Allow your gaze to soften and look at the candle.  Whenever your mind begins to wander notice things about the candle, the colour, the flame, the size etc anything to refocus your mind.  Try this for five to ten minutes.

Its fun to remember that daydreaming is also a form of meditation.

Have fun daydreaming!
