I can't complain about growing up in Florida... going to the beach every day, enjoying a stable family life with two brothers and great parents.  I wasn't much of a people person in school.  I went straight to the University of Florida after high school, and felt completely out of my element, as I did in high school.  I dropped out after a year or so, to join the "real world', much to the dismay of my parents.  I held very different jobs every two years or so.  The most traumatic of which were  the 9 to 5 variety.  I was in medical supply, landscaping, sales, and health insurance.  In the late 90's I eventually settled into a job at an ocean front hotel in Atlantic Beach.  It was also a night job, which allowed me to surf all day and also become a daytrader.  After finding a temporary comfort zone, I was able to purchase my first home.  I had everything I had been striving for, or what other's expected me to strive for relating to the "American dream"... the house, security, the car, etc.... but I began to stagnate and wonder what was next.  I knew that I wanted to do something extrordinary.  To make a long story short, I ended up moving to Hawaii without knowing anyone, and only giving myself two weeks to find a job, an apartment, and rent my house in Florida.  The rest is history... I found a great job, started a company, and bought a second property in Florida.  I was living my dream and fulfilling my passion of surfing the giant waves on the North shore of Oahu.  Then something curious happend.  With all of the freedom and dreams I had realized, I started to think...  ok, what's next?

After reading a ton of self-help, personal finance, business, and investment books.  I'm starting to shape my direction for the future.  One of the most important directions is creating accountability for my goals by writing this, and spending more time with people who have already been where I want to go.  This is a major breakthrough for me... realizing I need to gravitate more towards the achievment oriented friends, as opposed to the fun-time friends.  This will create such a shift in my thinking, that I will become completely rewired to attract success and prosperity.  The business and investments will start to overshadow the hotel job until it's completely unnecessary.  This will allow for much more travel.  Surf trips to exotic locations become routine.  Family visits are made on a whim, rather than once or twice a year, and I eventually disconnect from society even further by sailing away on my sailboat.  It is a total escape from the rat race... a planetary adventure, discovering different cultures, love, friendship, and of course... uncrowded waves!
