Direct Honesty

I love the message today. It should be broadcast on TV and radio stations as much as diet pills and sleeping pills.

I have seen an alarming number of people, especially young people, put on anti-depressants when they have a drinking or drug abuse problem. This is insanity! When people's lives become overwhelming because they don't have any communication or coping skills, our professionals give them medications so they don't have to deal with it.

Why don't we try teaching poeple how to communicate? Why don't we teach young people how to get along with others, set goals, and work towards something? Our emotions serve a life-saving purpose, but we just keep shutting them down with alcohol, drugs, and prescription medications. This is no way to heal and mature.

I appreciate the message today. I just wish someone in the press would have the courage to do an honest investigation and story on it.

Kudos to coach.
