Back at it for three solid days now. It feels good. I interviewed for my "Plan C" job today. On the way there I got a call from my "Plan A" (Now it's Plan A, and the Railroad is Plan B). They (Plan A) said they wanted to move along in the process to provide previous pay stubs and fill out the background check. I will have to go back to class and sit in the return to work classes while they put together an offer just so that if it doesn’t pan out my Plan B is still a SOLID go.

All that said I got to the interview for Plan C and the sit down was quick and the actual welding test was different than what I had been led on to believe. I didn’t do well at all. I can Mig, a little Tig and flat stick all day... asked me to do vertical up with a 7018 and I fall on my face. I just don’t have it. I took a structural welding class back in the fall of 2009 and barely passed and didn’t get my LA city cert. I'm not bummed though. Frickin Plan A called! And my Plan B even with economy being weird is still way more solid and financially beneficial than Plan C. So it's all good.

I’ve had my daughter all week and she’s been to school the last two days. I will be taking her to her grand parents for Saturday and maybe Sunday. So as a surprise I got tickets to see Cars 2 yesterday morning and am going to take her tomorrow. I mentioned this to her mom and she freaked out on me about how it wasn’t fair that I didn’t tell her first and that she has already purchased tickets. She told me I was lame for doing that and I still owed her money for the AAA membership and that we still had to go in halves on her B-Day party. I asked when she bought tickets and she told me two weeks ago off of facebook. I asked how many and she said 4. This means she bought 4 tickets for Her, Haley, her mom and her dad… but she said on the phone that it was for her, Haley, me, and my lady… I call B.S. I let it slide and got off the phone. She has season passes for Haley and Her to Disney. They always see movies first, and her new beau is a movie editor. So for the first time in a long time, I’m gonna do something special with her first… and I know she’ll still enjoy it when she sees it with Lo’s folks…It amazes me the mind games she’s started to play of late. I just gotta do what’s right for Hay and keep my head on straight.

BED TIME FOLKS! Movie Day tomorrow! Woot!

i am glad life is on the upswing for you. Good luck with your job opportunities. I hope Plan A is a go for you.

i am also job hunting too which has been a struggle but I feel a job offer happening soon for me and am currently applying for my"dream"job that I have already had experience in so am hoping it will happen

I can relate to the family game playing too. I have a player in my family that has been challenging for me.

Sounds like your focus which is your daughter is helping you stay on track. You sound like a great Dad! Your daughter is lucky!
