Day 1

Today I have a cold and am feeling a little down, I gave up on my fitness program again about a month ago. I really want to make it this time though and I know this program will help. I just cant ever seem to stay motivated because I don,t get the results I expect. I need to keep my resolve and be patient.

Motivation

I have struggled with similar problems as I'm sure everyone does.  The important thing to remember about goals is that sometimes we get way too caught up in expectation and results.  I wasn't getting what I wanted, that instant gratification, and was losing sight of how far I had come already.  Then when I failed I wouldn't try again because I expected failure again.  I couldn't have been more wrong.  Once I got into a positive mindset and realized that I could succeed I was able to make some significant progress.  Also remember, it is NEVER too late to get back on track towards your goals.  What worked for me was to learn from the past but not live in it.  Also to realize that the future is ultimately a product of what I am doing and how I am living "now".  Live for the now and you can't go wrong.

You're not alone You're not alone

What is the WHY?

The WHY of our goals is what really drives us.

I started working out again because I should. The reasons that I have really committed to it are the why's..

My examples:-

I don't like the way many women get chicken arms - you know when their arms wobble - that gets me lifting weights every time

I wanted to accomplish a major walk - mainly for the sense of accomplishment more than anything.  To do that I had to be fit enough to walk it.

So go and find yourself a big why and the working out will be much easier - it will be because you want to...

Have a great day! Angie

Thanks!

Thanks you for the motivation, it's nice to know we all go through the same challenges. The WHY is very important and I need to focus on that more often, great advice!
