Hunting is great for the mind body and soul, mind you it's not quite the same as the pioneers, when you carry a rifle that shoots over 3200fps, but the quiet, the cold, and the hunt clears your soul, fixes your head and pushes your body. I look forward to the season every year

I'm Kaya!

26 years old, holding a fantastic job that I'm blessed to love (most days), and I'm currently attending school for my BS in Environmental Management.

I'm in a tough spot right now personally.  My relationship is strained due to being the sole provider while my SO finds a new job. We just moved into a great new place, but the finances of doing so set us back a bit, and I'm struggling to catch up.

School is, well, hard!  Who knew? Hahah...

I love my job, but am not sure that this is the field for me.  It's a moneymaker, but I really want to do service for others every day.  I help people, but I want to change the world!!!

I just found out I have high cholesterol and almost no Vitamin D.  My doctor, while supportive, wasn't exactly encouraging. "You're young", he said - "you have time to fix these things".  That's nice, but I need a serious kick in the pants to get going. Permission to procrastinate is the last thing I need!

I'm really excited to get started on changing my life to where I wake up in the morning with a smile (as opposed to late and mad as h*ll!).

I want to see my love and not resent them for the stress I'm under because of our finances.

I want to look at my body and love it - imperfections and all.

I want to go to work (one day...) and say "This is where I'm meant to be".

I want to stop procrastinating and having stage fright when I get ready to write or play music.  I know I have talent - I need motivation to let it out!

I believe in myself and this program.  I hope I find even a fraction of the success and happiness others here have gained.

all questions»

What's the general consensus?  Should I wait until farther along in my general Tools 90-day program to start the Smoking program?

I'm on Day 4, and don't know if I need to use both. But at $7/pack in VIRGINIA, it's time to stop.  :-)

Does anyone know how different the smoking one is?

Most popular answers

says: you know if its a matter of changing, i would say do it all at once get it done the tools program has all the support you would need. Cool to see you back! good Luck!

What is your answer?

I joined TOOLS because:
I need help defeating procrastination and depression. I'm a good person with a bad mindset and temper.
You are offered your dream job. What job is it?:
World-famous environmental educator and musician. I open the eyes of future generations to the difference they can make in the world, in a fun and engaging way!
My favorite wild animal is:
I admire many. Wild horses are probably the most comparable to myself at the moment. I admire the skunk and the squirrel for their tenacity, bravery and self-confidence. I want to be a wolf.
Why (describe as much as possible):
Wolves are strong both in groups and alone (being happy by myself is a challenge I face), stealthy, smart, quick to act on good decisions, brave and fierce. I've never met a wolf that was afraid of life. :-)
My favorite domestic animal is (if you choose dog be specific with breed etc):
Large "aggressive-breed" dogs of all kinds.
Why:
Just like me, they have an undeserved bad reputation. Any dog will develop anger and fear if abused. Give the dog a chance, and they are the most loving and loyal dogs of any breed. Even with babies, kittens, and bunnies - I know from experience.
A famous Chef will prepare anything you want. What do you order:
Haha - I worked in the gourmet food business for years - and hate it all! I like simple foods. My mom's christmas dinner is my favorite - she can just push that chef right out of the kitchen!
Why:
Filet mignon marinated and roasted to perfection; twice-baked potatoes; green beans sauteed with fresh garlic; croissants that never end, and my favorite - tons of black olives!! Enough said - that's why! Okay, I'm hungry now...
Five people either dead or alive you would have at your fantasy dinner party::
David Bowie, Jesus Christ, my Grandma and Grandan, and Julia Serano.
Why:
David Bowie is a musical genius. A groundbreaking songwriter, he inspires me with every new album, even after almost 50 years. Jesus because although I'm not Christian, I do believe he was a real person and prophet. His understanding and love for everyone is something that can only enhance one's life. He had some tough times too! I'm sure there would be no one more fascinating! My Grandma and Grandan, for the wealth of experience they could have shared with me. The pure, radiant love and understanding they gave me. The chance to say what I couldn't when they were alive. And probably to apologize, if they really can see what we do down here - I got some 'splainin to do. ;-)p Julia Serano - my favorite activist and soldier for justice. A brilliant biologist and sociologist, and a kickass punk-rock musician to boot - she is a trans woman as well. She has given me hope for equality, strength to get through my lover's transition, and the fire in my soul to speak out when it needs to be spoken. I hope everyone gets along!
If a pilot would fly you anywhere you want, you would go to:
After traversing the EU (the whole of the UK in particular), I'd hit all the continents, saving Africa for last. The pilot can drop me off there - there's a lot of work to do for Human Rights that I can assist with.
My perfect slice of pizza is:
 Plain cheese!
You are at a bar. You order this drink:
Carbomb, microbrewed IPA, or a shot of the pure Irish gold - Jameson!
You are at a coffee shop. What coffee or tea do you order:
Chai latte or black coffee, or unsweetened iced tea!
If a genie could grant you three wishes they would be (separate by commas):
Endless Willpower, Unlimited energy (but can sleep if I want to!), the charisma of MLK
You are going on a long road trip and you can only bring three CD's. Which ones do you bring (separate by commas):
David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, A Perfect Circle - Mer de Noms, The Best of Ella Fitzgerald
If I could do anything for my neighborhood today, it would be:
Eliminate poverty by encouraging self-limitation on procreation, start community gardens where everyone who helps can eat for free, and clean up our Watershed for good!
A sunset I remember:
A beautiful night - the first time we went to South Mountain after moving to Phoenix. The smog makes for a dazzling spectacle, and I was in the company of so many people I love! You can see the whole city...
Any character I could be from a movie, TV show or book would be:
Me - from the Story of My Life
Why:
I don't want to be anyone other than the most kickass version of me I can muster!!!
