Daily inspiration

I have been writing my gratitudes, accomplishments, affirmations, a priority to do list and prayers for myself, for health for those people I know who are suffering in mind, body and/or spirit, and for peace to be bestowed upon the people I harbor anger towards, on a daily basis over the past couple of months.  I stretch, breathe, meditate.  Then I begin following my personal checklist. Wow.  What a difference.

I have gone from feeling the bitterness and depression of a post-traumatic stress syndrome "victim," or survivor, to the joy of a triumphant victor. I have been moving from feeling sorry for myself, feeling angry and resentful, irritable, anxious, fatigued and fearful to feeling relaxed, eager to meet the day, open to new experiences, and confident that I am doing the best I can on a daily basis.

I have gone from feeling miserably unhappy in my work, to embarking on a thorough job search.  And I have landed someplace wonderful.  I went to my first day of my new work today for a retreat and river cruise.  I will write more in future about this, but this situation feels so right.  It is truly aligned with my desire to learn, teach and lead.  Tomorrow is my last day at my "old job," then we are taking off for a week of a music and dance vacation.  After that I will return home for one additional week's rest.  Then I begin my new job for real.

Tools reinforces the idea of structuring one's life with positive routines, habits and rituals.  And it works wonders.
