goals

Today was great; don't get me wrong.  This is really the "meat" of this program, I know.  Working toward achieving our goals is why we're all here!  But I confess I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed.  I have doubts.  But I guess that's where our checklist»

Golden Rule, treatment of loved ones

Today's reading reminded me of the quote: if you treated your friend like you treat your family, you wouldn't have any friends left.  Sadly, it's true.  We dod tend to take out our bad moods and negative feelings on those closest to us, who have no choice other than to take it.»

To Do list

I could feel smug here; I already use a To Do List.  However, I truthfully have nothing whatsoever to feel smug about.  I don't *really* use a To Do list.  I write things down.  But I don't prioritize, and I don't always even do what I write down.  The act o»

fear

I think this may be the most powerful day in Tools I have had so far.  Amazing stuff.  I think this is the material I was expecting when I started Tools.  And now it's here.  I made SO many notes, and I can't wait to start thinking new thouhts and training myself to conqu»

No Complaints, No Complaints

Hmm.  I understand that complaining about something doesn't change anything.  I get that no one likes to be with someone who complains all the time.  It makes sense that you either need to a) change whatever it is you're complaining about or b) learn to cope with it.  &nb»

the excuse tool!

Oh, my goodness!  As the old saying goes, "He's quit preaching and gone to meddling!"  It's easy to have goals...as long as you have plenty of excuses handy as to why you cna't accomplish them!  ;)Seriously, I can see already what an incredibly powerful tool this»

goals, broken down

I really like the new assignment of just doing a quick cleaning/organizing task each day.  It is SO much less overwhelming to just do a little bit each day, and it does add up.  And really, it matches the old adage "eat an elephant a bite at a time."  Can't all big goals»

Well, I made it through the first week, so that's the first thing to be excited about!  Getting up is getting easier, so that's number 2.  And I'm down 2 pounds, so there's 3!  :)  I'm excited about starting Week 2 tomorrow!  Have a great weekend, everyon»

being on time

Well, I have to admit, when asked to come up with the last 3 times I've been late for something, I had a hard time thinking of them!  I managed to remember one from several weeks ago, and one from a VERY long time ago, but that was it.  I usually am not late for things.  So I was »
