Well, I have to admit, when asked to come up with the last 3 times I've been late for something, I had a hard time thinking of them! I managed to remember one from several weeks ago, and one from a VERY long time ago, but that was it. I usually am not late for things. So I was remembering what was said about finding ways to apply the "tool" to your situation, even if the case presented didn't fit you. So here is my attempt to do that.
The exercise section had you plan out, step by step, exactly how long it took to get ready, to travel, etc., in order to get to a place on time. And that step-by-step planning and thinking through ALL of the variables is certainly something that is useful for goal setting. If there is something I want to achieve in business, for example, I need to plan out my steps, consider the possible problems that might arise and a way around them, come up with alternate "routes", etc. Measure twice and cut once and all that.
But even more powerful is this idea of decision. You make the decision to be on time, then you do your planning to be on time, then you arrive on time. So my first step, before I undertake any planning or troubleshooting, is to DECIDE what I want and what I want to do about it.
Tomorrow is Shopping Day, and the video said that would be a bit different from the norm. I don't know if it means the readings will be more lighthearted, or if there is literal "shopping" involved (I'm thinking shopping might be more metaphorical), but I'm definitely intrigued! :)
