another new start.

Ive been coming to tools for nearly 3 years now.  It has made a huge difference in my life.  I set goals every 3 months now and get alot out of them!  I have come a long way, having nearly completed Phase XII (qty12 of 3 months sections of small goals).

As with anything, we do it long enough, we get pretty comfortable with it and perhaps a bit lazy.  I do anyhow.  It is time for me to to plan Phase XIII.  I am considering restarting the TTL program to brush up on my skills and try setting longer term goals by just signing on and re-reading and reworking the tools to get back on track. I have alot of sorting to do, not sure what way I will go, but I do know, it is time to get back to some basics. I wish there was a TTL2. lol!

Erasing 3 paragraphs and summarizing. I am unhappy about a particular situation in a relationship.  It means I need to get a real job, become financially independant, and move on.  It is not something I "want" to do but If I continue on the same path, nothing will change.  I cannot change someone else but I am left with no other alternatives to resolve this. I made it clear, it changes or I leave.  Im sad, but its time for me to stand up for me.  Maybe making my stand, he will see the light.  i hope so, but for certain... Ill have my own life again!

Long- term goals

I can help with long term goals. First think where do you want to be in two, five or even ten years. You then make a plan to acheaive it making smaller goals out of it. I break it down into where do I want to be in a year. Then where should I be in 6 months to get there. Then make your normal three months goals. break those down in to months. Then weeks then each day what are you going to to get there.

It is ok to say tomorrow I am not going to work on that goal because this is more important prioratize (SP).

There will be bumps in the road adjust. Listen to yourself and do what is right and true to who you are to get there.

In short, How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.

If you have not read the book "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen Covey you should he explains how to set goals much better than I can.

I was here before too...

I'm starting this program again too--I think I used it for the first time 4 years ago.  I feel that I need a boost--altough in general my life is on track, I know I should be achieving much more.

ah yes

a boost and a goal.  trouble is, I dont know what I wean tto do with my life.  an ongoing struggle.  I want to be someone... just have no idea who.  in 10 years, Id like to be retired.  LOL.  getting a bit late now.  But I am determined... to do something.  just having a hard time finding my place/my niche in this life.
