Keep Trying

Hey, it sounds like you have trying to deal with this for a while. Im sure I don't have any suggestions you have not already heard, but I'll throw a few out there anyways. Have you ever considered seeing a therapist? A specialist in clinical depression? If so maybe try seeing a different one.Theres alot of power in just talking to someone outside the loop. If the meds are not working after 4 years, and you sometimes feel they are making things worse maybe you could try a different one(prescribed by a professional).

I bet you are sick of people telling you to think positive when it seems so impossible. Has anyone ever gone in depth with you on the power of "self talk" ?(besides what you've heard here on Tools)  Positive thinking is hard to achieve, but if you start by talking back to your negative thoughts, and keep at it constantly everyday, who knows? You may start believing in the positive things you are telling yourself.

Maybe take a look at the reasons you allowed yourself to be in a controlling relationship for so long. There may be some issues or event from the past that you need to acknowledge and work on feeling better about which can be done through the privacy of a therapist. If nothing else, Tools seems like a great motivational program, and if you keep at it EVERYDAY, maybe things could get better for you. Hang in there! GoodLuck!!

Day 5

O.K. you stuck out 5 days here and that is more than most people will even try. So for that:

You deserve a star You deserve a star.

listen to more 80's music

seriously, music has a strange way of making me feel great - i know its a little thing, but you can't tell me that listening Cyndi Lauper doesn't make you feel good - lol

Think of Dora's song

Sending you lots of love Sending you lots of love

Remember to keep moving.

and you can

Keep going!

You can do it!!!
