Trying to focus but can't, Help?

Just want to know if stress can cause a person to not be able to stay focused? I can't focus at all, i do alot of daydreaming about nothing. Mind just empty sometimes.  How can I help myself to focus on important issues and situation in my life.

Hi there.

Yes, being unable to focus is one of the symptoms of stress.

Daydreaming is probably the way you deal with stress. I know because that's what I do. It's what I've done since I was a child and it helps me to cope with things.

Instead of seeing it as a negative, why don't you use your daydreaming to help you focus on the things you want to get done, the goals you want to achieve or who you want to be.  Visualise your goals and make it fun so they inspire you.  Allow yourself the time to daydream and then try and take some baby steps to make things happen when you are inspired.

Later on in the program you will find Tools has a day where Coach Steele talks about the power of visualisations and how they can help us achieve our dreams.

There is also a great article in the Inspiration section about focusing that may help you.

Good luck with tools and never stop dreaming.
