I also have suffered from depression. It seems very hard whilst in the middle of it to be positive but it is the way forward.
"Do as if" and your mood will start lifting.
Also "distract yourself" in any way you can from dwelling on your illness: sport is the best way even if you do not feel like, and especially because you do not feel like doing sport, it will help you the most.
Also fresh air and a lot of sunlight or ASD lamp. Take care of yourself, good food, plenty of water, treat yourself well, love yourself, you are wonderful and are going to beat this depression!
So, again "Keep on being positive no matter what"!
Have faith!
says: I understand your question well. A while back I learned to "fake it till you make it". I started saying the positive things even though I immediately felt like I was lieing to myself. But I kept doing it day after day after day until it was true. I'm speaking of one particular part of my life. I am working on doing this in several different areas at this time since it worked so well in that area. It may take time though because you are reprogramming your thoughts so it depends on how much you try to hang on to what you have been thinking for your entire life, which we do out of habit and comfort. Wishing you great success!!
