Currently I am living in the Bay Area again and commuting to San Francisco everyday working for SFMTA. My job is stimulating and I am learning a lot about where I want to go with my career. My boyfriend lives in Chico still so we see eachother when we can, which can be a challenge but it works. 

I grew up the San Francisco Bay Area with my loving parents and sister. Although my sister and I grew almost as 2 individual children (we are 5 years apart) we are begining to grow closer now that she is in school. I went to CSU, Chico and studied Civil Engineering. I naturally grew an interest in transportation and traffic engineering and interned at several places including the City and County of San Francisco and Kimley Horn and Associates. Once I finished college with a BS in Civil Engineering I moved to Grass Valley and worked for a consulting firm of 8 people. Grass Valley was a self learning experience that made me appreciate where I grew up. It is a very small town with only nature to offer and since I am not very outdoorsy, it was a challenge to try and fit in.

I hope to get my Professional Engineering license in about a year and move into an apartment with some friends. Eventually I would like to buy a house once I have saved enough for a downpayment.  I am also looking forward to getting promoted in a year when my probation period is over so I can work into a higher position then move back into the private sector of engineering.
