My motivation drove me here

I first stopped complaining. Now I realized I was still focusing on the “bad”. I started now to “thank” God for everything I have, and I have a lot of good things. It’s amazing, just mindlessly thanking Him works wonders!

I have asked my boss to go part time. Well, didn’t really ask, I communicated that was what I needed. He was so supportive and made arrangements to keep me on the team. I’m waiting for HR now, but I’ll be working in the office Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Possibly also working 3 hrs from home tue and thus, tho it’s up to me. Thank you My God.

Finally, I’m finding the premise of this book so interesting:

http://www.amazon.com/Power-Story-Rewrite-Destiny-Business/dp/0743294521/ref=pd_bbs_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1202323051&sr=1-3

So I just realized: we are so hung up on the concept of time. We are so bombarded with “facts” about the scarcity of time. Last week I would’ve said: I don’t have 2-3 hours to get together and record a podcast. Today, I will say: absolutely! This is *exactly* the type of thing that energizes me. The 2-3 hrs *time* spent will give me back many units of energy. What’s more: NOT doing something like that is *exactly* what drains my energy!

Ask and you shall receive? I just created a group on Facebook and named it My Pit Stop for Inspiration. I was going to share it with my other FB friends, but I don’t really care if anyone joined it. Its purpose was to be a place for me to gather some content for me to read daily and help in setting my day’s intention. Then I saw that it really wasn’t gonna work. While it was a good place to drop things, I couldn’t re-order them, or chose some favorites to be displayed more prominently.

Then, I run into an ad for this:

It looks like… it’s exactly what I wanted in steroids!

Why did I want this? Because I know that planning is essential in achieving goals. 80% (my guess) success factor of diets is not the diet itself but the fact that people start tracking their calories. Just writing it down or otherwise seeing it in front of you makes you change your way of thinking. It is by making (daily) plans that we can find where our (energy) surpluses are, and where we need to focus our attention, for that day, as Elizabeth already figured out.

So I had already established the conviction that I needed to have a daily game plan, especially so I wouldn’t let unexpected things drain my energy bucket completely (someone gave a really good answer for my energy management question on linkedIn). “Going with the flow” is extremely over-rated, or else I don’t really understand the concept. I really need to take control of my intention in life, but not of life itself, if this makes sense.

And this tool proposes to do exactly that, in a automated, inspiring, easy to track, etc way. I really suggest you guys watch the 3 intro videos. I’m going to sign up now!
