says: I too have a step-son with Aspergers. They are really unique beings and challenging at times. There are a huge no. of resources in Australia for these kids. Our step-son went to a special school for a couple of days a week for nearly a year. It taught him to be responsible and us to respect his uniqueness. He is 18 now and has friends and that is awesome in itself. He is happy and focussed. We also found that thee public school system in Australia was more able to meet his needs than private. So my advice is go and find some support now as Teenage years are really tricky for aspergers kids. Good luck! Angie
