Bump - and off I went

Well, I didnt have the bump when coach said I would, but I did this week.  Was going to explain context but that would sound like excuses - no excuses - let the ball drop and gave in to tempation.  I know all the reasons I have given myself and others, all the benefits, all the costs - but I guess sometimes we just screw up.  So, having screwed up, I am going to be (and stay) back on track.

Its an important lesson in the fragility of one's commitment when one is really on one's own ...

Anyway, not looking for sympathy - just felt dishonest leaving the impression that I was getting along so well, being so "wise", etc.  Nope - can be idiotic just like the rest of my fellow humans.

So, been there, done that....no more.

Happiness and joy to you all

LG

Hey...

You didnt have me fooled.. lol.

Was this the same bump that you were supposed to expect around day 30, because I see ur on day 49. Keep up the hard work! You are an inspiration.

Mike

Thats right!

A Good Friend, Recovering Alcoholic for 30 years now stated something that was profoundly wise in my opinion when he said, "Hey, You can start over anytime of day.  If you screw up, start over!"

He further said, "It wont do any good to use it as an excuse to screw up to start over, but if you are honest with yourself and you made a mistake, Start over and over again if you have to, til you get it right."

You know what you did wrong, You know that there is nothing you can say to make it right.  You are being honest with yourself and to us here who support you!

I believe you when you say that you are "going to be (and stay) back on track"!

Keep up the great work!!!  You can do this!

Insipration to me too

Wow, thanks for sharing that!  I know it must have been tough to admit.  It is an inspiration to me, to see you, a person that has been here longer than me, admit that they got off track.  I have been trying for weeks now and have struggled with the fact that I haven't been able to stay on track.  We are all human and I think all we can do is support each other.  So good work for catching yourself and telling yourself you were not being truthful to yourself!  I am gonna use the fact that you can admit to yourself how hard it is, and tell yourself you can get back and stay on track, to help myself do the same thing.  Thank You
