WE ALL HAVE WHAT IT TAKES!

this world is filled with pain and suffering - but it is also filled with joy and laughter.  this world is sagging under the weight of human neglect and over-consumption, but it is also thriving through the efforts of loving, giving individuals whose efforts are aimed at healing the planet, themselves and the universe.

regardless of whether god or evolution or random chaotic chance made us into what we are today, we - all human beings - have what we need inside ourselves to thrive, to blossom, to bubble over with joy and enthusiasm.

somewhere, locked in some hidden corridor in our mind or soul, or freely flowing and just waiting to be rediscovered, is the knowledge of the truth of life - of how it should be and could be and will be!

our job, our challenge, our chance, our opportunity is to tap into that stream of wisdom - to ride its current towards insight into ourselves and the world around us.

this is not a universe of pain and darkness...these things are byproducts of our efforts to learn, to grow, to become what we are destined to be - creatures of light, love and joy.

but it can be so easy to get overwhelmed by the pain and suffering of others, of ourselves, things we perceive as real whether or not they are....and while we need to be sympathetic to these things, we must not allow them to blanket us with dispair

look around, find the light somewhere - somehow - a shy smile, the sound of distant laughter, the song of birds in the midst of snarling traffic, the smell of baking bread or growing grass...and remember what this life is really all about
