Lack of motivation

It has taken me 6 days to complete day 1 of the program. Most of my problem is a crappy attitude and a cynical view. I have trust issues, and that includes trust in myself. I am also a procrastinator. Let's see if anything has changed by next Tuesday.

Also Dealing with Procrastination

Hi! I've also been a major procrastinator most of my life (look in the dictionary and you'll see my picture) and I used to be very cynical about these types of programs as well. I overcame my cynicism many years ago as I began to change my attitude after reading a few books and then started to see the changes happening in my life as a result of my changed attitude. As Coach says, "Your attitude is your decision." So you too can change your attitude, see results, and therefore become less cynical. I'm still working on procrastination. That's mainly why I'm taking this program. One trick I've been using to convince myself to do things is the million dollar question. Would I go back to bed if someone offered me a million dollars to stay up? Would I do my Tools lesson if someone offered me a million dollars to do it? The answer is ALWAYS yes! For a million dollars I'd do it! And if I can do it for a million dollars, I can do it for me, because I'm way more valuable than a million dollars any day. This helps me. Maybe it will help you too.

You're not alone You're not alone

Welcome

As far as I'm concerned, working Tools is an amazing, daily gift to myself.  I encourage you to surrender to it.  What's the worst that could happen?  As Mikey's big brother said (You may be too young to remember the Chex commercial), "Try it, you'll like it."

Plus

You did complete day 1 and that is a success!!

It might be taking you longer than you expected to get there but you are getting there!

Just keep going!  A little at a time.  It all adds up!
