Give a Smile today!

Remember Sept 11.  The twin towers?  I do!  My dad died 5 days before and my adopted dad died 3 weeks after and I was pregnant with my 3 child.  I remember the days after it like it was yesterday.  I typically am very nice to people.  I am know to let people go before me in line etc. I remember after Sept. 11, everyone was suddenly aware of how quick everything can change.  How truly fragile life can be and is!  I remember for a brief period of time, people were nice.  They'd let people in on the freeway, or go ahead of them in line.   Then, the shock wore of an most went back to there own concerns and needs, forgetting about others and doing something nice.  Remember?  Well, today just reaffirms to me that, I am doing the right thing.  That when I see someone drop something and I pick it up for them.  Thats the right thing!  When I let someone in front of me on the freeway (it feels good~with lowered stress~try it) and Thats the right thing.  When I allow someone to have the last pie on the rack.  Thats the right thing.  I guess its not just doing the nice thing its doing the right thing.
