WORDS!

Okay - well, managed to remember to push "Finish" this morning and all is well in the world again! lol....

I enjoyed the Toolbox tools this morning - I definitely am a lover of words and a true believer in their power.  Of anything else that I know - the fact that we "become" what we tell ourselves we are is one of the most powerful things I know.  Even WITH that knowledge it is still difficult - I wonder sometimes why it is so easy to "glom on" to a negative when a positive is just as close.

I mean, really, how many of us have decided on a plan for something - let's say a diet . . .  stuck to it perfectly for a week, and then had a terrible day 8....  all we can think about is what a FAILURE we are!  How often do we just look back and say WOW!  I was completely successful for 7 whole days out of 8 - that is FANTASTIC!!!  What a difference that attitude makes....

Or even on a "love/relationship" level - your partner may tell you "I love you - I adore you - You are fantastic - I am SO lucky to have you" - and maybe they tell you that in words and actions most every day . . . then he/she has a crappy day and says something thoughtless like "I thought you wanted lose weight, why are you eating that, you will never be thin that way! - well how many of us can admit to obsessing on that one negative comment for months, constantly replaying it in our heads, wondering if it is true; believing it to be true.  Why can't we give that same weight and power to the positive words and actions that we recieve every day from those around us?

How about trying to remember the friendly smile the clerk at the market gave us instead of the guy that cut us off on the way to the store . . . I really need to work on this - I try to work on it every day and today's Tools are perfect.....  Good Luck Everyone . . . It is a GREAT day.     Amanda
