What a wonderful thing to look forward to! I have been to France many times and visited many areas. I love Paris and go every year now for 2 months (I am very fortunate to be able to do that, I know!) we take day trips to other towns on the train. Very easy and reasonable.

 

With the devalued dollar, things are very expensive now, so your vacation funds will go much further if you go to a smaller town in the countryside (or south) and take the train to Paris for a couple days. Ask about proximity to the station when you book your hotel or B&B and your life will be easier. Pack light! Don't be burdened by your suitcases!  and ENJOY! - Sveltie Cool
