Day 5!

I have made it to day 5!  I have to admit I didn't log in everyday, but I didn't let life's events and my misses stop me, that is the goal right?

I do have a challenge with the checklist, but once again I do understnad the intent of it and follow it as closely as I can.  I work 3rd shift (9pm - 6am) and don't get up at the same time everyday.  I am doing everything else though!

After 5 days I am noticing some changes.  The positive energy is making me do things I have always put off.  I finished the first chapter in my book, wrote a short story for a contest, and organized several problem areas of my home.  Small victories that feel pretty big right now for sure.

Some of the things I really want to work on that haven't moved much are raising my voice, especially in my home.  I don't understand why I control it at work but I have a hard time at home.  Is anyone else like that?  It baffles me and it isn't fair to my family.  I am not a raging lunatic or anything (i dont think), but I have found that when I don't raise my voice I tend to get better results and everyone is happier.  Maybe a big difference is that I don't have to repeat myself so much at work.  It really frustrates me when I have to repeat myself because someone isn't paying attention.  I know there is a better way, I just have to choose to use it more often!

On another positive note, I got promoted again today.  I am already in managment, so it is nice to get off that ground level in the management structure.  I enjoy what the promotion "says" more than I do the extra cash, but I won't complain about that either!
