My attitude is my decision erm literally

Woke up this morning with a badly swollen right foot.  I'd been bitten by some little critter and the result is painful to say the least.  I'm on holiday from work so that doesn't much matter.  But I decided that I could either sit here and feel sorry for myself, or get on»

Gah!

I've just had a ten day enforced sabbatical from the internet, because a storm blew my live box, hence no net access.  There were a couple of things that I realized over those ten days. I've got used to pootling, lurking, call it what you will around this site.  I missed being»

Thinking about lists.

It's just been introduced to the Tool box for yours truly.  Was sceptic, but I finished everthing yesterday....and look set to do so today.  Blimey.»

Chalk and cheese - or should I stay or should I go?

Went out for the day, with the aforementioned friend from one or two blogs back.  We managed to get through the day without actually arguing.  It boils down to this; he doesn't like the newer, happier me and wants the old one back.  He pretty much acknowledged this. I surpris»

Been an interesting day....

Decided to tackle my weight whilst off over the summer.  I'm tall, 5ft 9in., but I could do with losing some weight.  Two stone would nice.  Hopefully I'll end up with a strong, fit , curvy body.  Anyway been shopping today.  Bought a load of fruit; apples 'nanas»

Sometimes it's the little things....

That mean so much.  Another offshoot of the aforementioned conversation with my Aunt last week is that she sent my a congratulations card, because of passing my teacher training.  Which I didn't expect but was very pleased when it did arrive. Contrast this with another friend.&nbs»

Aftermath

Thinking about my family again today has made me think about how I deal with my own emotions.  I'm not a girl who wears her heart on her sleeve.  I don't mean I repress my emotions.  I love laugh and cry like everyone else.   What I mean is that I'm not good at s»

Bit of a shock really

I can't pretend that I'm particularly close to my family.  I'm not.  My parents who for all their faults were wonderful people, are dead.  To a certain extent my friends have become my family. I'll explain a bit about the set up of my family.  My dad had two »

Phases

I'm a bit of a reflective mood today,  Not actually in a bad way.  I've just completed a Post Graduate Teaching course.  Today is my last day of teaching my students before the college breaks up for the summer. Which has got me thinking.  It's the end of another »

Yesterday morning

The weather is horrible and we've had some floods.  Though thank God nowhere directly around where I live.  Anyway, I left to go to college.  Without thinking I'd actually left early, where I'm normally last pushout of the door. This was a good thing, because it turne»
