Metaphor for Life and Tools...and guitar playing

Had my second guitar lesson last night.

Since last week been practising the 6 cords our teacher and home spun philosopher gave us last week. My fingers are sore and my wrist is aching.

Not quite got all the cord changes perfect yet, not even very good yet, but  "muscle memory" will click in, I'm assured,  and it will become second nature, provided I practise, and I will.

Despite our imperfect cord changes, me and the rest of the class, learned a number of strumming patterns and combining these with a few cords, lo and behold, the start of what sounds like a tune. It's beginning to be worthwhile already, and surely will get better.

So practise makes perfect, success comes through constancy of purpose, life rewards action, visualisation becomes reality.

Wow, and why did I not do this before ?

I guess it has always been in me, and is in all of us, and Tools has been the spark to bring it out.

I'm not particularly intersted in climbing Mount Everest, but being able to play Neil Young's Harvest or Heart of Gold would be my little Everest.
