I love music so much! All kinds of music! Just depends on the moment!

Books:

I enjoy reading quite a bit. I try to read my Bible daily. I tend to read spiritual books now and then. Regularly read books from the Stephanie Plum series by Jan Ivonavich. I loved reading Eat, Pray, Love as well as the Alchemist. I want to like reading money management books but haven't been able to get into any yet.

Favorite Places:

Oregon is my first love. Beaches, mountains, valleys, rivers, so many beautiful places and activities to enjoy here! I also like to travel and have enjoyed England, France, Mexico, Canada, as well as many states in the US. Hoping to see Portugal in the not so distant future and I regularly spend time in Mexico. I love to be in the hills hiking, especially if there is water nearby. I also love the beach.

I Want To See:

Portugal, Italy, Greece, tropical islands everywhere, Tibet... mountains everywhere... culture, history, scenery, and hope in every place I can see.

Hobbies:

I like to write. I have written some poetry and would like to write a book at some point. I enjoy kayaking, camping, rafting, fishing, crabbing, hiking, going to professional sporting events, traveling, cooking, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. I can honestly say that I shop as a hobbie and enjoy finding great deals, discovering treasures, checking out new places, and playing in all kinds of girly things! Cooking relaxes me but it leads to too much time at the gym! I do go to the gym regularly and bike when weather permits.

Activities:

I think that's the same as above for me.

Sports:

I love football! Mostly live NFL and college games but tv games are good too. The Steelers are my favorite NFL team and the Beavers are my favorite college team. Went to an NBA game and a NHL game and liked them both very much. I enjoy golfing, although I'm not even close to being being any good at all! I am not a confident swimmer but I want to be and I love to snorkel any chance I get. I'm open to trying sports but haven't played any since softball in grade school. I have committed to joining a team this year and am considering either softball, soccer or volleyball.

Movies:

I love the trilogy red, blue and white: I think that Boys on the Side and Beautiful Girls are good chick flicks: Long Kiss Goodnight makes me feel invincible: Hot Rod made me laugh so hard I almost peed my pants: I adored How To Lose A Guy in 8 Days: A Knight's Tale always makes me smile: and my all time favorite movie right now is P.S. I Love You. If it can move me, fill me with some kind of emotion, it's a good movie. I have also come to enjoy Korean movies.

TV:

I don't have time and can't sit still long enough to watch tv. I watch ESPN or Fox Sports at the gym in the mornings. I like the idea of cuddling up on the sofa and watching tv on a slow rainy day. Movie nights with the kids happen weekly.

Heroes:

It sounds crazy but my mom is my favorite personal hero. I admire people who admit they are small and don't give up in the face of adversity, but instead find the opportunity and enrich their lives and those around them.

I Want To Meet:

I want to meet Jesus :) and feel His abiding love and mercy engulf me and take me into His kingdom! But before that I want to meet a variety of people who are rich with experience, wisdom, integrity, kindness, compassion, honesty, humility, humor, and generativity. Someday, when we are both in a place in life that we are ready... I'd like to meet the love of my life and share everything with him!

I joined TOOLS because:

I joined Tools because Kirsten asked me to do it with her. I came back to Tools because I realized after being away for a while that it really did have a significant impact on my thought processes and productivity. I'm' checking it out again to see if it continues to enhance my perspective after so much time passes.

You are offered your dream job. What job is it?:

My dream job would probably include helping to find opportunities for children and families to connect to services and supports that will enrich their lives according to their needs/wants/abilities on a systemic and administrative level as well as design a process for them to access those services according to their need for assistance. I actually DO my dream job :)

My favorite wild animal is:

I'm not sure what my favorite wild animal is, yet. I'll give it some thought though.

My favorite domestic animal is (if you choose dog be specific with breed etc):

I like cats and I like medium and large dogs.

Why:

I haven't really had pets much but like other people's cats and dogs... mostly bigger dogs. I had a Pointer-Poodle but she passed away last year and miss her.

A famous Chef will prepare anything you want. What do you order:

I would want something original that only that Chef could make. That the Chef absolutely loved to make and got much joy from. And a dish that is not available anywhere else. Probably something fresh, with veggies, a fine cut of meat or poultry or fish, savory herbs, and a rich elegant sauce drizzled on top.

Why:

So that it would be a special treat that I could treasure for a lifetime but not go back for more of and over indulge. Just enough to enjoy a taste and try to guess the ingredients. And simple enough that I could try to recreate it and cook it for people that I love.

Five people either dead or alive you would have at your fantasy dinner party::

My children, Michelle, Sheila, Audrey Hepburn, a person of good character from far away,and the man I'm going to meet and marry someday. Jesus would already be there in spirit but if an Alchemist dropped in that would be fun as well.

Why:

I would want my child to enjoy the creation of the memory of good food, family and friends. I would want Michelle and Sheila there to spoil them and because I always feel so rich and blessed in their presence. I would want Audrey Hepburn there to tell us her story and share her essence of beauty and grace. I would want to have a wonderful stranger from a far away place there to share culture and learn their traditions and share stories and meet new friends. And I would want my future love to be there so that we could experience it all together and talk about the memories of that party for years to come and let it plant seeds in our life together.

If a pilot would fly you anywhere you want, you would go to:

Either to Portugal, Italy, Greece, or the Maldives/or some other beautiful tropical island that is peaceful and surrounded by warm safe waters for swimming and snorkeling. It would be nice to have hiking trails, and a little biking or some other outdoor activity, too. Wine would not be a terrible addition to beautiful ambiance.

My perfect slice of pizza is:

hmmm depends on the mood. I love veggie pizza! and meat pizza's are tasty too. Thin crust is my favorite. and anything with garlic is wonderful!

You are at a bar. You order this drink:

A nice wine will always be appreciated. Blooditini from Bentley's are delicious as well:) mmmm it's a cross between a bloodymary and a martini with a salted rim and fresh cilantro. I'm a martini fan as long as they are made well. But, I also like beer! lol I like a variety of Ale's. Especially during football games!

You are at a coffee shop. What coffee or tea do you order:

I have three favorites. Dutch Brother's skinny, sugarfree, annihilator is my coffee of choice. Earlgray tea with steam milk and a splash of vanilla is wonderful. And my two favorite standby teas are lemon ginger with honey or Chamomile.

If a genie could grant you three wishes they would be (separate by commas):

That I could love enough, give enough, and be enough. I was startled to read these wishes after so many years. I already have them! Today, I would wish for balance, prosperity, and wellness in all areas of life.

You are going on a long road trip and you can only bring three CD's. Which ones do you bring (separate by commas):

a burned cd with a variety of indie-folk, pop, alternative, country, southern rock and blues; Tracy Chapman; and a worship cd that has Third Day, Bebo Norman, Michael W. Smith, and other alternative Christian artists.

If I could do anything for my neighborhood today, it would be:

create a community center for kids and families to hang out, take classes, learn new things, be active/burn off some energy while building confidence and esteem, relax and enjoy themselves, connect with others in a healthy setting, etc.

A sunset I remember:

When I drive over the hill to come home on a curvy hilly road surrounded by trees, there is a peak at the top that over looks the valley of meadows, river, and orchards. The hills on the other side of the valley are a border to the coastline. When the sun sets on those hills, a warm golden glow is cast across the valley floor. All of the colors of the trees, fields, and river come to life just before the land rests. And the sky is blue with hues of oranges, reds, and purples, just before the magnificent sun sets and the big brilliant moon comes to take watch. Both in the sky at once... the sun that lights our way through the day and the moon that guides through the night.

Any character I could be from a movie, TV show or book would be:

Probably depends on the day. But for today, I would say Wonder Woman! lol Sandra Bullock, Melanie Griffith and Drew Barrymore play characters I enjoy as well.

Why:

Wonderwoman because she was good and kind and beautiful and strong, and she had integrity. She had a great costume, her make up was always perfect, she had an invisible jet, she had the laso of truth, and she was classy while whipping the bad guys into shape... for the betterment of humanity, not to accomplish her own agenda. The other actresses' characters because they are pretty, kind, smart, witty, playful, charming, lovable, and usually have some spunk.
