Wow!  What a great topic for today's lesson.  Seize the day and live it for all it is worth!  It is not what happens it is your attitude about what happens.

In my job, I supervise a county outreach center for mental health services.  Since starting Tools, I have tried to be more mindful of encouraging my staff and being a positive influence with my attitude.  It is not even lunch yet, but today I have noticed how well this team works together to handle a crisis, and how supportive we have become and generous with compliments.  A very sticky situation is currently being resolved and the team members involved are handling it with sensitivity and a good attitude. It is not a situation anyone would want to be a part of or would make anyone happy, but I see team members using it as an opportunity to help a struggling family and feeling supported in their work environment.

Oh, and dh got a job today.  It is not his dream job, but it will do for now and moves him in a new direction.  And can I just say, as dumb as this sounds, I feel good about how well we have stayed connected to each other and tried to be positive about a rather challenging situation.  Have a great day!
