differences in a relationship

I have known my girlfriend for about a year. we have been dating for about 7 months. Theres a 10 year difference between us- she's 26, im 36. She's recently gone through gastric bypass surgery-more for health reasons that being overweight. I have rencely been trying to get into better shape and eat healthier. She has a 7 y/o daughter from a previous relationship. I have no children. She is a born again Christian and I am not. I have been separated from my ex for about a year and a half and legally divorced for about 9 months. I also just bought a house. Since I have been dating her, I have been learning more about her religion and have actually discovered our beliefs are very similar. She got away from the church for a while before we started dating. As her surgery date got closer she felt the need to get more involved in the church. I want to go to church with her and her family , but I dont feel the need to be "reborn". She recently stated that she needs time/space to think about our differences and all of the changes that have come along recently. She said she still loves me very much and doesnt want to loose me. I know her surgery can have many side effects physically, emotionally, and psychlogically, which could be where this is coming from. Every since i met her, theres always been something special about her that I've never felt about anyone else so it makes me think she may actually be the one for me. We both love each other very much and have talked about marriage already- until recently. I have no problems with our differences and feel that they are not big enough to keep us from having a successful relationship. Am i being too optomistic about this? What are our chances?
