I just turned 30. All my life I've been led to believe that I'm relatively bright, and that this coupled with education would be enough for creating a decent life. It turns out that, as they say in the Smoking Popes' song, I've been "so afraid to fail I hardly tried."

 I want to change that, because I'm not getting any younger, and standing on the sidelines shouting hasn't really worked out for me!

I'm living in Washington DC right now, on a fellowship a part of me feels like I fooled people into giving me. A sense of agency, purpose and self-confidence is what I desire, and why I'm doing TOOLS.
