land usage

I was wondering what sort of ideas other people have about land usage.  Whether it is for recreational use, business, residential, or a combination of all.  Feel free to share your thoughts.

says: In my area, north east Pennsylvania they found natural gas. Now there are people I know selling the rights to what is underground. Some of the people are getting big bucks for this because they own a lot of land. I am not sure how I feel about this because the gas is under all our homes but it seems not everyone will get money from it. It is a little hard for me to take. The other issue around here: Some people are buying up the best farm land around and and building houses on it. We have a ton of land (hills and mountains) but they are sellin off river bottom flat land that should be kept for farms. It is so sad.
