Day 89: Pay it forward

"Pay it Forward" is one of my favorite message-movies and I seek to emulate it in my life, tho it's hard because I have to fight self-absorption daily! But today's lesson is about paying it forward and we are supposed to share some small ways in which we do this, to the better»

Angry at Tool's money lesson (warning, long rant ahead)

I've had a strong negative reaction to the money section on day 69 - for reasons I'm not entirely aware of yet. Strong emotions in myself are usually indicators of something deeper, so I need to sit down and listen to what my inner voice is trying to tell me. I will try to do that here »

Sick of Tools - could use encouragement

There must be a second to hit around the 60 day mark, because I've run full-tilt into it. I'm sick of Tools. I'm not sick of the benefits, because there have been many. I'm sick of doing the work, being in front of my computer for hours at a time. Sick of having to wor»

Love (and Lust) like a drug

It's appropriate today's lesson (Day 61) is on drugs, because I've been struggling with a relationship that is as addictive and destructive as any illegal substance... A few days ago I even messaged him:I want u bad toobut you're like crack: a hell of a great rushbut not good fo»

Deep and difficult emotional work today.

Day 51 has an exercise to forgive past wrongs and I have been struggling all day with this since reading it this morning. I posted in my Accountability Group a question on how to forgive if the person doesn't and won't acknowledge the hurt they have caused you. I got some great answers,»

Crappy day

I don't have internet access anymore at my house (I was freeloading of an open network) so I can't get my tools done in the morning. I'M FRUSTRATED! And not handling it well, nor in a positive way. Right now I'm at mom & dads and that's burning my ass bad because pa»

Visualisation and running

I've been fighting exercising in the cold, since I have traditionally hated it, and since it contributed to me getting sick and having lung problems last year. But I came across a great article in Runners magazine that talked about how to get beyond the mental block of running in winter.&nb»

Visualisation and time management

I've been struggling with managing my time better and a member (thanks "Rockin_Achiever") suggested keeping a time journal for a week, which I did and it ended yesterday. I went over it looking for patterns and trends and distilled certain necessary tasks into the average length it too»

The bump in the road knocked me on my butt for a bit

I hit my bump yesterday, the day before the Tools  lesson on it. How ironic. But today's lesson helped me put yesterday in perspective. I was tired because even tho I'm faithfully implementing my sleep rituals, I still am waking up 3-4 times during the night. I did use the bre»
