Visualisation and time management

I've been struggling with managing my time better and a member (thanks "Rockin_Achiever") suggested keeping a time journal for a week, which I did and it ended yesterday. I went over it looking for patterns and trends and distilled certain necessary tasks into the average length it took to do them.

Well, this morning I woke up about 15 minutes before the alarm and instead of getting up like I'd usually do, I decided to picture myself doing my morning ritual.

I figured it could help me streamline my behavior and make my actions more efficient. It was harder to do than I thought - I kept getting sidetracked and distracted by thoughts and musings and ideas, etcetcetc.

But like I do when meditating, I kept gently returning my attention back and was able to visually walk through my morning routine.

And . . . no surprise, I was wonderfully efficient!

I think I'll strive to add this to my nightly ritual, too (kinda a mental to-do list) especially after reading in Runners magazine how elite athletes will incorporate positive athletic visualisation into dreams (there are ways to do this, really! It's cool!), and how that enhances their performance.
