A small success makes me feel really big!

One of my daily action goals under my physical fitness goal was to stop eating candy at work on Tuesday nights. It's always freely available and there's lots of it

I'm a sucker for candy and goodies, so I never have it at home. And only recently have I been able to not go grab a bag of candy or a candy bar when I'm feeling down.

I'm not overweight at all, I'm pretty fit for my age (36). I'm really active and that keeps some of it off. But I'm also my age, lol, which means it doesn't come off like it used to! So I have to watch.

I also just want to be in more control of my eating. Eating a lot of candy not only makes me feel sick, it makes me feel bad about myself. It's like any compulsion that bothers a person - it's annoying and difficult.

So I was really happy when I didn't even have one sugary thing to eat at work this past Tuesday. I brought a whole bag of wheat cheerio-type cereal, a bag of baby carrots, and a bag of raisins and my biiiiig bottle of water and chomped on those instead. I was sorely tempted once or twice, but I resisted.

Now I just have to find a way to resist my mom's holiday baking...
