start over?

I made tremendous improvements through first 21 days of Tools, but did something that I promised that I wouldn't do, and have been lost for the past three weeks. Immediately after that, I found that I couldn't do Tools. I felt like I was being preached to and just felt totally guilty and resentful.

Everything gained (from Tools) has been lost (or more properly, from a weight perspective, everything lost has be re-gained), but losing weight is/was only one of my "issues".

I am regularly doing things that I promised that I would never do again and can't seem to break the viscious cycle.

Should I attempt to continue Tools at my existing point (Day 24) or start over completely?

Thanks,

CMB

says: What ever you decide to do start over or continue just do it. Don't give up. Making so many changes can take time to work. all the best!

says: in a word yes, i am starting over and i know i have some major challenges, but no matter what the challenge, you can do it,even if you take the smallest step today toward the direction you will get there.

You can do it, keep going! You can do it, keep going!

says: We all slide backwards....that's why we need each others support!  Promising yourself you won't do something is easy.....keeping that promise to yourself is so hard!  It almost feels like we sabotage ourselves.  Like then we can think...see, I am a failure.  I knew it all along!  We create what we think!  So try to stop thinking that you're going to fail!  Ask yourself if you can get through ONE day of not doing what you promised you wouldn't.  Then ask yourself the next day if you can get through THAT day without doing it.   Baby steps....we didn't get to where we are overnight.  We can't solve everything overnight either.  Stop beating yourself up and take a step.  We support you.  We're here for you.  YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!

says:

Live your own life and be happy. If it makes your happy do it. I will not judge!

says:

Why not try both ways? Start from the beginning and see how it feels. If it's too elementary, you can always jump ahead a few days. When jumping back, there is no 24 hour wait for each day to advance.

I've been away for a while and am starting where I left off. Once I do the new day's tasks, I flip back to one of the earlier days to re-do that day. Double dip!

says:

My gut says, yes.  Continue on.   Well...I"m second guessing my gut and saying, continue on...unless it's been a month since the last tools day.  Then I would start over.

Part of learning tools is learning you can go, "whoa...screwed that up.  okay.  time to move on."

In short, eh...you screwed up, so what...you've got almost 70 days to straighten it out again...and you've got one of the most supporting communities to help you through it.
