I would have to search for a while to find a pic of me without a beer in my hand. I always, deep down kinda thought I was a POS for that. I like your music

BOOST TO BOOST

I understand exactly what you are saying.

Almost word for word on my experiences, including "drinking buddy spouse".

My pic for Tools is even a drinking picture.

Trying to "not lie to myself" anymore re: the damage alcohol has done to my body and my life.

Hang in there man!

when I think back to all the dumb, risky stuff I have done because of alcohol, boredom is o.k. yes, it seems boring because your point of reference is with a buzz. If you are like me, you started in high school and haven't stopped (until now). there had to be a reason you decided to join tools. you must have come to some conclusion about your life, health, behavior. what was it? regarding the boredom, I just have to get some new friends that don't drink. My entire social network is based on drinking. I think if I find a girl that is at MOST a light social drinker I can deal with that. My ex wife was and still is a drunk. we were quite a couple. married my drinking buddy.

all questions»

I made tremendous improvements through first 21 days of Tools, but did something that I promised that I wouldn't do, and have been lost for the past three weeks. Immediately after that, I found that I couldn't do Tools. I felt like I was being preached to and just felt totally guilty and resentful.

Everything gained (from Tools) has been lost (or more properly, from a weight perspective, everything lost has be re-gained), but losing weight is/was only one of my "issues".

I am regularly doing things that I promised that I would never do again and can't seem to break the viscious cycle.

Should I attempt to continue Tools at my existing point (Day 24) or start over completely?

Thanks,

CMB

says: What ever you decide to do start over or continue just do it. Don't give up. Making so many changes can take time to work. all the best!

What is your answer?

I joined TOOLS because:
My life is a mess. Very poor physical condition, type II diabetes, , 60 pounds from my desired weight, but probably 80 pounds from "normal". Poor performance at work and home, you name it. Heard Devlyn on Jason Ellis show and was so impressed that I immediately joined tools.
You are offered your dream job. What job is it?:
Private chef, or teaching Civil War courses in a very small college and town in the South.
My favorite domestic animal is (if you choose dog be specific with breed etc):
Dog. Had 3 mutts for 17 years, lost all to cancer. Haven't had a dog for 2 years, but just "rescued" the best dog in the world from a shelter. Name is Murray and he is a golden retriever and Nova Scotian Duck Tolling Retriever (no, I didn't make that up).
Why:
Unconditional love. Murray lives to please and is the most happy when I come home.
A famous Chef will prepare anything you want. What do you order:
I am convinced that no one could cook better than me, but I cannot make any baked goods, so some type of incredibly decadent dessert.
Five people either dead or alive you would have at your fantasy dinner party::
Robert E. Lee, Abraham Lincoln, Jesus, Tiger Woods, George Washington
If a pilot would fly you anywhere you want, you would go to:
 Australia
My perfect slice of pizza is:
Trying not to eat pizza, BUT, ham green pepper and red onion.
You are at a bar. You order this drink:
Oh, I'm good at this one. Actually whatever they have, not picky, although I do like jaeger bombs.
You are at a coffee shop. What coffee or tea do you order:
 Love caffe mocha
If I could do anything for my neighborhood today, it would be:
get the stupid, old boat out of my neighbors yard!!
A sunset I remember:
 Oct 2009 Sanibel
Any character I could be from a movie, TV show or book would be:
 Indiana Jones
Why:
 smart and tough!
