Seventeen Days and Counting!

I get it!  I really get it this time.  I understand that I am responsible for my actions and that what I have to do is change my thinking if I want to change my life.  And I do.  For almost 60 years I have looked outside myself for magic, for a cure, for inspiration, for answers »

One Week And Counting

In truth this is my 18th day dieting and exercising but is is also the end of my first week with the Tools To Go program and I feel stronger, smarter and more self sufficient than I have felt in years.  I have increased the treadmill to 30 minutes which seems like a small miracle and am finding»

Keep on keeping on

Boy, oh boy.  I went to the Body Shop where I never ever go and bought grapefruit soap and body wash and lotion.  I can't wait until tomorrow morning to use it!  I got new toothbrushes and am drinking water.  Such simple instructions and I feel like I am on a mission to recon»

Day #24 and counting

Boy, I had no idea of how many excuses I make every single day.  This tools program is guiding me to taking personal responsibility for my exercise program, the food I eat and how I respond to others.  I wonder why they don't teach this stuff in school.  How different my life migh»

Weight Loss

It is working.  I can hardly imagine why I have taken so long to get it in gear.  I kept trying things that didn't work before and of course, they didn't work again.  Now I am eating more nutritiously and feeling full most of the time.  I have more energy to exercise and »

Hitting A RoadBlock

Well, there are really no excuses for not logging in my food or for skipping the exercises but I did miss four days.  Although I didn't track the food on the computer, I stuck to my program which is good.  Although I didn't exercise at all for two of the four days, I did go for lon»

Goin fishin

Back on track and feeling wonderful about that.  It's sunny outside and my son is coming by to take me fishing which is a lovely thing for a boy to do with his mom.  Food is good and I made almost 10,000 steps yesterday for the very first time.  It has been a struggle to increase »

Sunny Sunday Afternoon

Just finished tools for today and am about to go up to my exercise room and get on the treadmill.  First, I thought to post another blog and picture from week #12.  Some days I find it hard to cope with other people's criticism but I recognize that I don't have to react to them...I»

Coping with Lonliness

Well, Bob (my husband) is away for four days so Hershey (my dog) and I are alone here and there is nothing to complain about.  I am so very lucky to have a house and garden, time to paint or read or just sip tea on the swing on the patio.  I am feeling stronger every day.  Some people»
