Hitting A RoadBlock

Well, there are really no excuses for not logging in my food or for skipping the exercises but I did miss four days.  Although I didn't track the food on the computer, I stuck to my program which is good.  Although I didn't exercise at all for two of the four days, I did go for lon»

I'm just going to keep right on flapping my wings!

I realize that this process is never over and although I am two days from 90, I plan to begin again and keep right on searching within to find "more".  I love the analogy of the caterpillar turning into a butterfly and have imagined myself in a stage of chrysalis over the past three m»

What any one of us can do, all of us can do!

The question is not, "Can We" but, "How Can We?" When I see someone who has what I want, I ask him or her what they did to get it.  Then if I do the same things for the same amount of time, the reward is mine.  There is no good that is exclusive to someone else who»

Going away tomorrow until Friday

Just take a look at the huge fish my son caught yesterday!  I am on my way to visit my sister in Toronto tomorrow until Friday.  Luckily my eldest son is going up to celebrate his 35th birthday with his younger brother so I will enjoy 4 hours in the car with Mike and get to visit with Rob »

Regrouping

After having been away I needed to get back to my regular exercise routine so that was my priority today.  I felt so good to have done my stretching and an hour in the exercise room. I exercise in my underpants, undershirt, socks and running shoes and have a mirror in the room.  I tel»

The weekend is almost here!

Thursday night already and just one more day until the weekend.  I bought tickets to go see Cirque du Soleil next weekend and can hardly wait to go.  I think I am beginning to see a real change in my energy level from all the exercise and I am getting stronger.  I am looking forward t»

Sunday - End of week #1 back on track

I'm down 5 pounds in one week which feels great.  More importantly I am back in the mode of exercise which is giving me lots more energy.  I am still wondering what happened that I let things slip away but now is not the time for regrets...it is time to keep on keeping on and to recomm»

Olympic Champions In The Making

No matter our ages, weight, sex or abilities, we each have the promise of competing with ourselves and winning...of stepping up to the podium to the applause of the entire world.  I may never run a marathon, skate a perfect 10 program or swim 400 meters faster than anyone else, but I can do bet»

Just Breathe

Life and living it can be hard some days.  Just breathe.  When faced with impossible tasks or thoughts that eat away at my heart, I must turn away and choose to do other things or think other thoughts.  I will not be a victim of sadness or despair....I will find love and laughter...it»
