Coping with Lonliness

Well, Bob (my husband) is away for four days so Hershey (my dog) and I are alone here and there is nothing to complain about.  I am so very lucky to have a house and garden, time to paint or read or just sip tea on the swing on the patio.  I am feeling stronger every day.  Some people would be depressed if they weighed 260 pounds but I am joyful because everything is relative.  Compared to what I was, this is amazing.  I see less fat on my legs and can feel muscles replacing them.  I can walk two whole miles now.  I went shopping today for the first time in years.  Before, I couldn't handle the weight on my legs and got tired so easily.  I enjoyed my day and I am loving my life.  How perfectly silly of me to have waited for so long.  The hardest thing is focus and I have to keep listening to the tapes I made and reading my wall affirmations to help me remember what I want from my life today.  It's working!

Sending you lots of love Sending you lots of love

Keep up the great work!  Sounds like you're on the right track.

gratitude will get you going

Yes, you are on your way to health and most of all love of your life.   You obviously have many great talents and are succeeding with very important day by day achievements.  They really add up, don't they?  I love when minutes, hours, days, months, years, show me the importance of the miracle of mindfulness.  If you get a chance check out some books by Thich Nhat Hanh, he is a buddist monk who has written four books about widom, beauty and meditation.  Stay in touch with me, I enjoy watching your achievements.

Sending you a hug Sending you a hug

You're doing great

I know where you are coming from. A few years ago I lost a lot of weight (100 pounds). Most of it is still off. The big changes were in what I could do and how I felt. And that started when I was about at the weight you are at now.
