Fractals

frac·tal n.

A geometric pattern that is repeated at various scales to produce irregular shapes and surfaces that cannot be represented by classical geometry. Fractals are used to model irregular patterns and structures in nature.

As an artist I am intrigued by fractals and I am certain that they represent something critical to my understanding of my own life but cannot quite put my finger on "what"?  Any insights from fellow travelers are more than welcome.

If you have no comments, do at least look up fractals on the internet and take a minute to see the explosion of colour and design that will take your breath away.

Thanks to all of your who wrote to encourage me after my last blog.  I so appreciate the caring and the love.

fractals and chaos theory

Years ago I became fascinated with fractals when I ran into them reading about the physics of chaos theory.

They're so lovely and so amazing; I'm sure you're right that they hold some kind of wonderful message about life.

Thanks for posting about them.
