Either the fear of failure is hindering an attempt to begin a new business or I honestly believe the fear of success is also present. To fail is easy enough to deal with and move onto something else, (ok it didn't work out) however if the venture is successful, then one has to maintain the momentum started. You cannot just leave something that is successful on the backburner. Due to its success it is in the forefront all of the time, reminding you that you are in charge should anything at all happen. Fear is easy to blame for not acting on anything. Hovever, why should succeeding in something also be feared? For me I believe that the fear of succeeding in a venture, is fear of having to keep it up. Therefore many fantastic ideas go unattempted. FEAR prevails. Am I alone in thinking this way?

says: Hi onehelluvawoman! "A Coward dies a thousand deaths, a Hero only once." Fear is like dying. It robs us of our true potential. It robs us from discovering how much we can actually be. Actually, we have more reasons and possibilities to succeed than to fail. Think about it. It's been said that we only use about 10% of our brain capacity, and yet with that litte bit we do more than neccessary to survive on this planet. What is the other 90% for? Doesn't that make you curious? ;-) Fear can actually jolt us into taking action ("Fight or Flight") and hurl us to greater heights - but only as long as we learn to control and harness our fears.

What is your answer?

I joined TOOLS because:
I hope to find assistance with some of life's situations. As a single person, with a limited amount of true friends. Sometimes it is best to bounce ideas and questions off of someone who will not judge me.
My favorite wild animal is:
Lion is a wild and shy, sometimes loud and proud creature. In times of crisis can be found in solitude, within a cave to get quiet and figure things out.
A famous Chef will prepare anything you want. What do you order:
All things organic. A plethora of organic veggies, please no wheat and no dairy. Organic because flavour and nutrition are not compromised. Oh yea.......when can I expect my dishes?
My perfect slice of pizza is:
One of the most unhealthy foods on this planet, for me anyways. I believe that a lot of people have obesity issues due to this meal replacement.
You are at a bar. You order this drink:
One lemon drop martini please.....to be percise that is 1.5 oz premium vodka, .5 oz cointreau, 5 lemon halves squeezed over ice, shaken and served in a sugared rim....OK, maybe I'd have 2.....*teehee*....hic...
You are at a coffee shop. What coffee or tea do you order:
Now I am not myself until I have only one of these.....3 shots expresso with soy latte...big one please.
