My sister

This is a quick entry before I leave for work.  I want to share one of my gratitudes today.  I am grateful for my sister Hannah.  She is a wondrous person with the biggest heart and I am so very lucky to have such a supportive person in my life.  I know people who don't get on with or even like their family.  In my sister I have a true friend who supports me regardless and sees me as beautiful and worthwhile simply for being ME!  Don't get me wrong, we have had our doozies in the past, which we generally laugh about now.  And we share that family stubborness-trait...!

Above and beyond that, I have a soul sister who I know is always there, even if we don't talk often.  But the Universe is conspiring to bring us closer and closer together.  Even though she lives in Australia, my work has made it possible for me to visit her last year and then later this year with my daughter.  And now TOOLS is bringing us even closer!!

Our growing up was certainly not a bed of roses (but whose is?!) and yet we have all (5 of us kids) grown into loving and unique people.  I call that a success!!

When I read the sad stories about estranged family, I feel at once compassion for those who do not experience what I do, and also such GRATITUDE and LOVE for what is a true blessing in my life, my family, and today most shining and beautiful- my sister
